full spectrum

 doula support

As a full spectrum doula, I support you starting anytime pre-conception or mid-pregnancy through birth, postpartum, and into the first year of your child's life. I support you through making empowered and informed decisions for you, your body, and your family. All of my full spectrum services are available in person or virtually.

My full spectrum doula services are personalized based on your needs and desires, and can include: prenatal visits, on-call labor and birth support, postpartum visits, and lactation counseling. I offer both hourly doula care and care packages. For postpartum-only doula support, I offer hourly doula care.

full spectrum doula care

As a full spectrum doula, my role involves emotional and physical support, education, and advocacy. I personalize my services based on my client's needs, but a "typical" package can include:
  • Prenatal Visits
4 visits, usually lasting 1-3 hours each
Possible themes include: your birth wishes, ideas, and dreams, education on stages of labor & birth, self-advocacy, comfort measures, partner's support role, and postpartum planning.
  • On-call Labor & Birth Support
Starting at 38 weeks, I am on-call and available to your family by text, phone, or email 24/7. This might include answering your questions and concerns in the last weeks of your pregnancy, helping you determine when labor has begun, notifying family outside of your immediate birth team, emotional support for your partner, and more. Once you are in labor and ready for in-person support, I join you at home or at your birthing location and stay until after baby arrives.
  • Postpartum Visits
4 visits, usually lasting 1-3 hours each
Possible themes include: support transitioning home, birth experience processing, lactation counseling, healing and comfort measures, nutrition, infant care, and sibling/family dynamics.

postpartum doula care

As a postpartum doula, my role is to support your transition home and to life with your new baby. There are many possibilities of how postpartum care looks depending on your desires and needs!

My support includes emotional and physical support, as well as practical support such as infant care, household tasks, and meal preparation. Emotional support can involve birth experience processing, easing the transition of sibling and family dynamics, and helping you create a circle of supportive community around you. Physical support can involve lactation counseling, and helping you find recovery, healing, and comfort measures.
My postpartum doula care is charged hourly. After an initial consultation, we will meet (ideally before baby arrives!) to establish a detailed postpartum plan where I can get to know you, your family, your home, and your desires from your postpartum doula care.

Hourly Pricing* (plus tax)
High price: $45-55/hour

"Sal was an amazing help throughout my whole pregnancy and labor. She prepared me for labor with various pain management methods, laboring positions, and exercises. My first daughter was birthed via cesarean and I was determined to try for a vaginal birth with my second daughter. I believe Sal played a major role in having a successful vaginal birth after cesarean this time around! She was supportive through the entire labor process and was a great advocate for me."
